Hikvision UK Promotes Partner's "Race/Ethnicity" Analytics

A report in The Guardian raised fresh concerns about Hikvision's human rights abuse record, though, in this instance, it was over Hikvision UK promoting a small UK company, FaiceTech, with a negligible track record, who Hikvision listed as offering "race/ethnicity" analytics.

This instance, which has no connection to Xinjiang or Hikvision's human rights abuses, says far less about Hikvision's ethics than Hikvision's challenges in finding companies that want to be associated with Hikvision. Indeed, even tiny Faictech accused Hikvision of publishing this promotion without its knowledge or consent.
