Hikvision Admits Developed Countries "Rejecting Chinese Companies"

Published Aug 28, 2023 14:04 PM

Hikvision has now admitted that they are being increasingly rejected by developed countries, blaming it on a US-led effort as the PRC state-owned firm faces increasing restrictions and negative press in the US, Europe, and Australia.

This confirms Hikvision's negative outlook in developed countries, where the industry's biggest marketing shift is promoting 'Not Made In China' and NDAA compliance.

In the UK, historically one of Hikvision's strongest developed markets, employees decreased noticeably this year. Hikvision says it makes slightly above 10% of sales from developed countries and is doing better in developing countries.

This trend adds to Hikvision's substantial challenges, given its stagnant PRC revenues and cost-cutting pressures due to economic troubles at home. In this post, IPVM examines Hikvision's remarks and what they mean for the firm.
