FLIR Markets Windows Temperature Screening, Violates IEC And Causes Performance Problems

By Ethan Ace, Published on Jul 17, 2020

FLIR, one of the largest thermal screening manufacturers, is marketing installations that violate IEC febrile screening standards, FDA correct operation, and even their own installation recommendations.

As we covered in our report on The Protection Bureau and ZKTeco's similar marketing, this is a risk to public safety, as these devices are used to allow/deny entry to facilities.

Moreover, we have tested FLIR's offering (see FLIR Screen-EST Screening Software Tested, FLIR A Series Temperature Screening Cameras Tested) and found performance problems from doing so, further described inside.
