Temperature Screening From The Protection Bureau and ZKTeco Violate IEC Standards and FDA Correct Operation
ZKTeco and integrator The Protection Bureau are marketing an installation that violates IEC febrile screening standards, FDA correct operation, and ironically ZKTeco's own installation instructions.
This is a risk to public safety, as these medical devices are being used to screen and, per the video, lock out people the ZKTeco system determines to have a high temperature.
However, The Protection Bureau responded declaring that they "never refer to this device as a medical device" though this ZKTeco offering, per FDA definition, is a medical device.
