Eagle Eye Is Winding Down 'Partnership' With Hikvision

By Charles Rollet, Published Jul 01, 2021, 09:43am EDT

While Eagle Eye Networks has been partnered with Hikvision for years, doing multiple marketing efforts just this month, Eagle Eye CEO Dean Drako tells IPVM they are "winding down" their partnership.

Over the past few years, Eagle Eye rivals including Genetec (Genetec Drops Support for Dahua and Hikvision) and Milestone (Milestone Drops Hikvision From Elite Partners) have already made moves to dissociate themselves with Hikvision.

Eagle Eye is one of the last sizeable Western companies to continue co-marketing with Hikvision despite its US government National Security Threat status, impending FCC ban, and "ongoing" human rights abuses.

Since these actions, Hikvision has had difficulty attracting US partnerships/promotions, however, Eagle Eye ignored this, continuing its longtime Hikvision support in multiple webinars in the past month.
