By Charles Rollet, Published Sep 15, 2020, 08:40am EDT (Info+)

A multi-national African Hikvision distributor is marketing dangerously incorrect Hikvision fever camera setups.

This adds to the long list of poor Hikvision fever camera deployments, from Scottish nursing homes to an Alabama school district and even Colombia's President's promotion. It also shows how poor fever cam practices continue to spread spurred on by Hikvision promoting dangerous practices.

Some legislative body somewhere has to stop this fraud across the globe.

Another Hikvision Africa distributor promoting 30 people per second, no blackbody and the debunked hot water bottle test:

CST markets itself as an authorized Hikvision distributor:

These distributors are getting this from Hikvision. Hikvision knows the 30 people per second is impossible yet continues to allow it to be marketed.

Seeing this come out of Mali came across as rather suspect to me. I did some digging, these guys seem to be Senegalese with pan-West Africa ops (the CST website uses a Senegalese domain), which would make far more sense than these guys being Bamako-based.
