As to being squeezed in the middle, I agree that's a pretty valid concern the Exacq division should have. But if the customer needs something higher end, I'm sure they'll be directed to American Dynamics. On the lower end, they still have their START licenses and budget NVR's- and no, that wouldn't appeal to the low, low end, but that would be the DIY market and not where they would want to compete anyways. But their interface and security definitely need updating.
Exacq Favorability Results 2017
For years, Exacq has been one of the most frequently favored VMSes in IPVM integrator statistics (e.g., see Favorite VMS Manufacturers 2016).
However, approaching 4 years after being acquired by Tyco, things are changing, with the 3 co-founders exiting and shutting down US manufacturing.
In our latest entry of the 20 manufacturer favorability series, we examine Exacq's results.

American Dynamics is higher end than Exacq? Are you trying to be funny or?
I wish Exacq supported an url import into a video tile like so many VMS manufacturers do. However, the software is super user freindly.
