I wonder how much of their revenue is attributed to mask sales IPVM Image

Sean,

The Wyze in Response Program, which includes the masks, started in 2020 so it would not affect 2019 reported revenue of $95 million.

However, we estimate that Wyze did at least $10 million in revenue, likely at significant profits, for selling masks in the past few months. This is based on import records that show three shipments since February 2020:

IPVM Image

These are their heaviest shipments since COVID-19 began, and given a selling point of $29.99 at only ~0.4 lb per package, it is fair to estimate that figure. They are partnering with iHealth on the masks.

However, they still received 30+ other shipments over that period.

You are correct that this is likely significant for Wyze over these few months, but is it sustainable?

I think its funny that a box of paper masks from them is more expensive than one of their dang cameras.

Geekwire also reported on the $10M funding today.

They reported Norwest to be the investor, along with American Family Ventures.

VP of Marketing Dave Crosby, seen in the video, is quoted as saying "We are going to use the funds to continue building the smart home for mass adoption."

The funds are likely to be used, then, on the 30+ other products and its AI and IoT services.

I have a box that has a couple of their light bulbs and a bunch of the door/window sensors that I have not even opened yet! That is how cheap all their stuff is. So cheap you can just forget about it. Of course, now that I remembered I have it thanks to this article I will be setting it all up today.

If the round is still open, I'll kick in $8 to make it an even $15M.
