Panasonic has released their latest fisheye camera, the WV-X4571L, with 12MP sensor and 9MP resolution, claiming "extreme image quality" under "challenging conditions", with smart H.265, 10m IR, and more.

We bought and tested this new model to see how it compares to others in our 12MP Panoramic Fisheye Camera Shootout, shooting against Avigilon, Axis, Dahua, Hanwha, Hikvision, Oncam And Vivotek.

Inside, we examine:

  • Full light image quality
  • Low light/IR image quality
  • IR illumination range
  • VMS dewarping differences (Avigilon, Exacq, Genetec, Milestone, Network Optix)
  • Camera side dewarping support
  • Smart codec support
  • Bandwidth consumption
