What happened to Ionodes? With seasoned leadership from Jean-Paul Saindon founder of SmartSight and Dr. Michael Gilge, founder of VCS, back in 2007, they launched a Hybrid NVR appliance, supporting Gentec, and their own cameras (since abandoned).

Just checked out their ONVIF decoders, the links to data sheets and others are bad... https://perma.cc/D2HR-TVHY

You'll have to go to their live pace, the perma record thing didn't record data sheets.

The links worked for me.  IPVM uses permalink; my understanding is that permalink captures what they are linking to at the time that IPVM wrote the profile.  So if the content changes after the profile was written, it's still available via permalink.    Not my specialty but that's my understanding.  The first impression can be that the link is broken somehow...

Here is a direct link: IONODES Secure Display Stations

Full Disclosure: I'm the Director of Sales & Strategic Partnerships at IONODES and spoke with IPVM as they prepared this profile.   I'd like to comment on a few areas to clarify some of the topics covered in the profile.

IONODES Secure Display Stations are based on Windows 10 IoT but we have customized and locked down the OS to make it more secure and resilient.  The typical user experience would have no indication of Windows OS.

The Secure Display Station is typically VESA-mounted to the back of the monitor after initial configuration, usually with the keyboard and mouse removed.   This allows live video to be shared in areas where a PC would pose a security threat.

Sean did quote me accurately as saying "too much video is only used by security departments."  To put it another way, Secure Display Stations make it possible to share video throughout the organization, enhancing the situational awareness of both staff and visitors.  The security system isn't only there for the security department....

BUT if you have public view monitors (PVMs) they better work!  We've all seen PVMs with blue screen error messages.  The message then switches from "Security is on it's game here to the opposite."  IONODES Secure Display Stations are often deployed after other, less-expensive solutions failed to meet reliability expectations. A common pain point is recovery from power loss.

The profile is accurate overall and I'd like to thank the IPVM team for taking the time to write and post it.
