Hanwha Wisenet Road AI LPR Tested
Hanwha Vision, a company that aims to be bigger than Axis by the decade's end, released its PNB-A9091RLPH, an all-in-one low to moderate-speed LPR kit, including Wisenet Road AI. But how well does it actually work?
IPVM bought and tested the PNB-A9091RLPH examining:
- How accurate are plate reads overall?
- How well does it handle increasingly common stacked characters and specialty plates?
- Can it read front and back plates?
- How well does it read dirty or scratched plates?
- Does the LPR kit miss passing plates?
- How well are plates captured at night?
- How much latency is typical from a plate read to notification?
- Are hotlists or rules simple to configure to receive notifications?
- How well does vehicle make/model/color perform?
- How deep is integration into VMSes?
This test is the sixth in a series of LPR tests, including Alta LPR, Axis All-In-One LPR, Genetec Autovu LPR, Motorola L6Q, and Verkada LPR, leading up to rankings later this year.
