Hikvision Treasury Sanctions "Can't Be Done", Says Congressional Chair
A year and a half after Hikvision started preparing for severe US Treasury sanctions, they are not coming, according to recent remarks by a Congressional Chair.
In October 2019, Hikvision was sanctioned by the US Commerce Department for "human rights violations and abuses." These are more limited sanctions compared to what the Treasury Department can do.
