Arecont Costar Layoffs

By John Honovich, Published Jan 14, 2019, 09:16am EST

Arecont Vision, a Costar Company, has laid off more than 10% of their workforce in a move the company described to IPVM as a result of "important changes to better leverage the resources of our corporate parent".

In this note, we share Arecont / Costar's feedback to IPVM and analyze the outlook of the company, now a half year after they acquired Arecont and just weeks after Arecont's President resigned.

I know it's still been a pretty short time, but has anyone experienced or heard feedback about any changes in at least the quality service from Arecont? And how soon do you think if any changes are going to happen to quality of products should we see them?

Was this mostly back office consolidation with some low performing sales people axed for good measure?
