Amazon Responds to US Senators On Dahua
Amazon has responded to the US Senators who questioned its purchase of Dahua fever cameras, saying "we do not intend" to purchase the products "going forward", while framing the deal as part of an effort to "quickly" obtain screening devices during COVID.
Last month, two Senators - Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Bob Menendez (D-NJ) - sent a letter to Jeff Bezos criticizing Amazon's Dahua deal after IPVM and the LA Times revealed Dahua offers "Uyghur warnings" to Chinese police.
