ACLU Falsely Contrasts School Shooting Killing Odds To Winning The Lottery
ACLU wrote a 60+ page report criticizing the EdTEch Surveillance industry, and in the report, it compared the odds of a student getting shot and killed at a school to winning the lottery. But why is it wrong, and what are the actual chances of a child dying due to gun violence in a school?
IPVM believes that this comparison is inaccurate, and in this report, we provide our estimation of school shooting odds and examine the ACLU's feedback to IPVM on why they believe that the comparison is appropriate.
