ACLU Criticizes School Surveillance Dangers And Marketing Deception
The ACLU bluntly declared "The Danger in Buying What the EdTech Surveillance Industry is Selling," but what deceptive practices should schools be aware of, and how does the ACLU propose to combat them?
Their report highlighted the ten most widely used surveillance technologies (video surveillance, face rec, behavioral and gun detection analytics, etc.) and mentioned several notable companies, including Axis, Avigilon, and Verkada, amongst others.
