I wonder how this will impact alarm.com dealers...any thoughts?
(we are not an alarm.com dealer)
One of ADT's direct competitors has purchased a core piece of the company's most popular offerings. In a joint deal, Alarm.com and Comcast have divided up alarms technology company Icontrol Networks, best known for products like, ADT Pulse, Comcast Xfinity, and the Piper DIY alarm system.
While the total purchase price is more than $140 million, the impact could be even greater, leaving several big incumbents scrambling for replacement offerings. We cover the deal and the potential changes to the alarms market in this note.
