Plan Electrical Requirements For A Security Systems.

Off the top of my head: amps, volts, location, dedicated circuit(s) and backup power complete with failover time. Oh yeah, who is going to provide it. 

Such a simple question, but such a complex answer!  :)

Fundamentally, most security equipment uses DC current, so planning power generally involves having AC drops that are immediately turned DC with power supplies or PoE switches.  There's several factors that shape things from there.
