Surveillance trailers are one of the top growing markets, as shown at ISC West 2024. Who was exhibiting, and what does it say about the future of the market?
In this report, we examine the presence of surveillance trailers at ISC West 2024, how it changed from 2023, and how it compares to other markets.
IPVM plans to publish a more detailed analysis of the market, as well as profiles for several companies.
I had a chance to tour Vision Detection Systems' facility in Baltimore, where they do design and assembly. They rent trailers as well as pole cameras (essentially surveillance trailers without the trailer part, good for parking lots and other locations where you already have a pole and power but nowhere to put a recording device) and LPR cameras. They also offer remote video monitoring for existing surveillance installations.
As you might imagine, they spend a lot of time and effort engineering ways to squeeze another amp out of the solar panels and reducing the amount of power and bandwidth the cameras and speakers require. You should talk to them, they have some interesting ideas.
