Unitree Humanoid Robot Announcement Examined

Published Aug 18, 2023 13:52 PM

Unitree has gained worldwide attention for its robot dogs, including one mounted with a machine gun. Now, the PRC China low-cost robot company has announced a humanoid robot for "under $90,000" that claims to move around and even run, but what should buyers look for in this emerging robot type?

Just last month, 1X (formerly Halodi) announced similar development of a humanoid robot, so this is becoming a new race for a far more capable robot but is this something close to being viable?

In this report, IPVM examines the specifications of the Unitree H1 humanoid robot and its price and provides Cobalt and 1X's opinion on this general-purpose humanoid.
