ROG Security is offering cloud-based AI analytics to remote guard companies, by touting having "nothing to install" to "add virtual guards."

It's not intended for a large video-centric corporate entity. Consider smaller start-up organizations or tech-based organizations. SaaS, IdaaS, and now Security as a Service is a fast-growing new vertical.

I scoffed too with my more traditional security background, but the more you live in that world, the more you see the value proposition.

How big is that world? And how will ROG compete with competitors offering to sell for less money? I genuinely don't know but that would be my concern at this price point.

Sean, thank you for the profile.

John, totally agree. At current price points it works well when impacting guard costs. For example, one of our sites is a manufacturing campus that netted a savings of around $3k per month after having terminated their night time patrol service. By adding ROG they were able to leverage their standing guards to cover the areas that they were previously paying patrol cars to monitor.

And this doesn't hurt our guard company clients because they typically generate more profits adding ROG to their service mix than adding more labor costs with another guard.

But, I agree. $25/mo per camera is much too high for sites that don't need the level of a live monitored video surveillance system which can be handled with a nest camera or an alarm system.

One thing that I think is kind of cool about what we are doing is that a site can choose to have as many or as few cameras connected to ROG as they want. So by using ROG with one of our monitoring company partners you can get almost a guard like service on a camera or two where it matters. And the price differential between the cost of a guard (around $4,500/mo or a couple of monitored cameras - say $100 or so) then seems like a pretty good deal.
