Ring Floodlight Cam Tested

By: John Scanlan, Published on Apr 20, 2017

Ring has released their latest entry, the Floodlight Cam, calling it the "Evolution of Outdoor Security", touting motion activated floodlights, built in siren, two way audio, and more, made to replace residential fixtures.

We bought and tested the Floodlight Cam against the Nest Outdoor camera to see how it performed in a typical residential setting, how easy it was to install and use, and how it compared to competitor Nest in image quality.

This is our 3rd Ring test, also including:

Summary

i like the concept

I don't get why neither nest nor ring makes a POE version of this. Frankly getting the wifi to the perimeter of house is a PITA.

I hope that they read your comment.
