I would add Remote Security Solutions to the list as well- https://www.remotesecuritysolutions.com/

Excellent resource list! Would have saved us a lot of trouble in the past and might save some in the future.

Would like to add http://digitalsecurityguard.com/ . They are starting a dealer RMR program next month.

I believe iVerify also does video guard tours and video escorts, based on someone who used to work there, even though it's not listed on their website.

Regarding this:

Video verification is video that is associated with an alarm detecting an event.

Is there an implied duration for the resultant video? Any best practices you can share?

surprised i dont see i-view now on here...

I think that's because as I understand it, I-View Now is a platform used by other monitoring services, not necessarily a monitoring service itself like CMS or COPS, for example.

true. Just surprised because they require the dealer or integrator to be a partner as well.

Well, I thought about adding them, but I figured that since they announced a partnership with C.O.P.S., they should be considered more of a platform. And I do have C.O.P.S. on the list.

What is the saying? "The reward for work well done is the opportunity to do more."

Another type of service we're asked about from time to time is what is called by some as Virtual Doorman Service. Similar to Video Escort, this would be a service that has the ability to remote open doors so that visitors can be let in. I know one company that says they will do this, though we haven't used them yet.

EyeforceTheir condition being you make remotely accessible a compatible Aiphone device.

Maybe another item to add here, or an article of it's own...?

I would add Midwest Alarm to the list as well-

www.midwestalarm.com

Were the largest players purposely left off this list?

ADT/P1

Tyco/JIC

Stanley

Sonitrol

Criticom Monitoring Services

Elite Interactive

Eye Witness

SecureWatch 24

Thrive Intelligence

VideoSurveillance.com

........

Thanks, UI4. I added Elite and Eye Witness. CMS was already on the list. As for the others, do they provide wholesale monitoring to independent, third party dealers? If they do, I'll add them.

Should add Sirix (sirix.ca). We have been using them for some time and they are extremely competent. They do offer all of the mentioned services, Video verification, Video guard patrol, Video escort, Remote video and more.

I think you should add an IPVM member http://inetsas.com to the list. We are not as large as the other companies listed but now monitor over 2000 cameras.

Added, thanks!

Did anyone notice how many phones were on the desk of the image on this post? I think the beret wearing operators are actually monitoring more phones than cameras.

Pro-Vigil, Inc. has monitored remotely since 2006 and processes over 11 million events per month.

www.pro-vigil.com

Added, thanks!

i think you guys should update this article to include only US based video monitoring.

would like to add www.smartsecuritypros.com

sorry remote video, video guard patrol, video verification, video escort

Added, thanks!

Surveillance Monitoring Co.

http://www.surveillancemonitoring.com

Added, thanks!

Please add TriCorps Surveillance to the list as well.

https://tricorps.com/

Added, Chad. Thank you for the suggestion!

Ari, would you consider robots as remote monitoring service?

https://www.cobaltrobotics.com/

Please note, we've just added Montrose, California-based Galaxy Protection to the directory as well. They offer remote video, video guard patrols, video verification, and video escort.

birdseye.ca may also qualify for this list...

Hey Chalon, thanks for the heads up. I'll look into them and add if appropriate.

Another qualified firm for your list..... First Response Security, Beaverton OR. Also provides private response to support local police in multiple communities/states.
