I've heard from multiple unconnected sources here in the UK that these guys will go the way of Pyronix soon and be acquired by Hikvision.
Talks underway I'm advised.
Paxton is gearing up to make a big run at US access control success.
The first step they have made is to cut all US Rep Firms, in anticipation of expanding direct sales and tech support in 2017.
In this note, we examine these moves, what they mean for Paxton in the US and how Paxton will be competing with Brivo.

Unless the "Manufacturer" portion of "Undisclosed Manufacturer" is Paxton or Hikvision I would consider that FUD.
Not so sure...

But then again it would certainly be a logical choice.
My own private opinion.
This would surprise me - most companies looking to sell don't look to expand their employee head count by 150%. Normally it's the opposite (letting people go) to make the numbers look more attractive.
Oh no you mentioned Hikvision, Inc....Dillabaughnics!
Update: Paxton is acting on expansion plans with a significantly large dealer training program. From the press release:
Paxton’s dealer workshops are being offered at a variety of convenient locations nationwide, with over 600 training sessions available this year.
Read more on the company's Dealer Training page.
I was concerned when we were informed of the loss of our manufacturers rep for Paxton as he has always been very helpful. Though I have to say, the experience as a Paxton dealer and support received from them has I proved noticably. The only draw back is that we can't schedule level 1 and 2 certifications at will anymore.
Has Paxton changed the buying process for you at all? (Distribution Centers, minimum qtys, etc?)
Nope, same. Their pricing has crept up a bit over the last couple years, tho that could just be our distributor trying to eek out more margin. However, we are getting a brand new touchscreen net2entry unit as a demo which would have never happened with our rep.
I saw some info about that unit and it looks slick. Please post some pics when you get it.
