Magos America General Manager Yaron Zussman [link no longer available] admits when he first came across Magos, he asked himself: "What's innovative about radar?" Be that as it may, when he saw what the founders of Magos were doing, he became interested.

Radar is clearly a niche for commercial physical security. Will it grow? And how can Magos overcome that?

In this note we examine:

Will it detect a small off the shelf drone flying in the air?

Magos specifies drone detection ranges on their data sheets but doesn’t clarify how large a drone that refers to. Drone detection range is specified at 100m in the smaller SR-500 model and 200m in the SR-1000, 75% less than human detection range.
