Lenel has been and will continue to be an innovative leader in the Enterprise Access market. If the differentiation you mention of S2’s internal video component deserves mention then comments regarding Lenel’s 10 year partnership with Milestone are warranted. Say what you will but it’s not your typical 3rd party strategic partnership.

No, what Patrick is talking about is their recent agreement with Milestone for 10 years moving forward. They have extended the agreement they put in place 3 years ago.

They are a software company now, like most larger entities. If they can navigator the corporation, they can make it work. They migrated some really good video and security folks into Lenel when Interlogix closed. Hopefully we'll all be stronger when we come out the other side of this. I can't image having their overhead right now.

Given their pricing structure, using another access control company could be a wise move. Everything LENEL comes at a HIGH premium with POOR support in my experience. Even Lenel VARS have vastly different pricing structures on parts/training/installs.
Lenel may come out of this OK but it would be in their best interest for longevity to rethink their organization and pricing structures.
