9 Lawsuits Allege Allegion Automatic Door Injuries
Automatic sliding doors are certainly convenient, but a slew of lawsuits against one of the industry's largest access control companies for systems at some of the world's largest retailers raises serious concerns.
In the two years since it acquired automatic door provider Stanley Access Technologies in 2022, IPVM found Allegion has been sued at least nine times by people claiming injuries from being struck by or crushed between doors at major retailers, including Walmart, Sam's Club, Kohl's, Kroger, and Home Depot.
