Hikvision Chairman Touts "Technology Determines Military Strength"
Hikvision's Chairman Chen Zongnian praised technology for being crucial to national military strength in a speech that directly quoted Xi Jinping slogans about China's "great rejuvenation" and technology self-reliance.
The US government is sanctioning PRC companies for contributing to military-civil fusion, with its latest chip restrictions omitting Hikvision but including Dahua. IPVM also found new evidence of Chairman Chen touting Hikvision's contributions to military-civil fusion.
In this report, IPVM examines Chairman Chen's remarks and what they reveal about Hikvision. Hikvision did not respond to IPVM's comment requests.
