By Conor Healy and John Honovich, Published Feb 16, 2022, 08:44am EST (Info+)

Hikvision's CSO debated a Dutch politician who decried the country's widespread Hikvision use as "morally reprehensible", with Hikvision's cybersecurity leader asking "How can China 'watch'???" Hikvision's cameras.

This has become a core Hikvision counterargument as governments around the world increase scrutiny of the PRC created and controlled mega manufacturer. For example, Hikvision centered its case to the FCC on this - Hikvision Argues Airgapping And Firewalling Negate FCC Concerns.

Nonetheless, as Hikvision admits in its marketing - cloud - and manufacturer control of surveillance equipment will be "essential".

Plus, Hikvision's CSO spoke on Hikvision's human rights abuses.
