As VMSes become more and more commoditized, Genetec is releasing more and more high-end specialty software targeted to specific verticals and applications. Traffic Sense is Genetec's recent release in this regard, designed to help municipal users manage traffic/transportation operations in their city.

Jul 12, 2018The unified client is supported by many browsers so Linux is on the table as far as clients go. Otherwise all the Security Center software I am familiar with is .net, VB, C,C+ & SQL as the core architecture. Some of their hardware like the cloud link controller is still running windows 7 embedded /lol. Hopefully things change in the future.

Jul 13, 2018Per Genetec Security Center 5.7 documentation, the server and thick client applications are only supported on Windows Operating Systems:
However, the Web Client does not require any browser plugins and in supported on the following browsers. So you could run the Web Client on Linux (or Mac):

I recently made a career pivot from security integration to traffic safety systems. I'm surprised how much overlap I'm seeing with security manufacturers branching into ITS.
