Genetec Launches Community Connect Examined

Author: Brian Karas, Published on Sep 14, 2017

Genetec has done best in large-scale, enterprise systems and relatively worse in smaller systems such as SMB.

Now, Genetec is launching their Community Connect that claims to "facilitate public-private collaboration to improve urban safety":

How will this 'Connect' work with Genetec systems across 'public' and 'private' spaces, including SMBs? How will it impact Genetec's strategic positioning.

Based on feedback from Genetec, IPVM examines Connect, its market approach and impact on rivals, including Milestone and Hikvision inside.
