We initially thought it was a good idea to sell fever cameras but with all the differing opinions about them we decided to stay focused on our core business. Unfortunately we have already invested in three complete systems. We set up a test system at our office and it does give consistent temperature readings on par with a forehead thermometer we used. Works well. We just have no interested in marketing it. We have the following equipment for sell ready to ship from Georgia if anyone is interested.
Other. We purchased the thermal camera and blackbody device directly from YCX in China. I dont think they are the original manufacturers because we have seen other manufacturers selling the same camera. Maybe you guys know who the real manufacturer is . I have attached pictures and YCX spec sheet.
We haven't actually sold any yet but we do offer them, begrudgingly. We are explaining all the possible problems to our customers as we offer them quotes. We have decided to go with Axis/Grekkom as our higher end solution that ties into our existing surveillance systems, as well as Seek as a less expensive stand alone option
Have you tested Grekkom? There is some interest from us but I would not sell until we have actually tested. Hearing a positive experience from someone else in this regard would help justify a test unit.
To me, until something is tested with a very high level of accuracy that requires skilled setup and integration into a VMS we cannot sell these. I'm not understanding how integrator are selling what basically amounts to a camera on a tripod with a laptop. Until this is tied into a VMS that can display data quickly and be recorded I'm not seeing the value of an integrator. The distribution channels are just not setup properly unless you sell Hikua or other Chinese relabelled product. I suspect as demand dies down the distribution channels will soon exist and be flooded with mediocre product.
UI#2 we haven't bought any yet. We were waiting for John to do it actually and I'm glad to hear that he has purchased one for testing. On top of that I have heard that the axis 2901 cameras have a 4-month lead time.
While we have been offering two specific solutions, I believe that this countermeasure will have a diminishing cost versus benefit as the pandemic continues to evolve. Other measures will emerge that prove more effective, and this solution will most likely fall into a lower need tier but may remain with customers that have the 'most comprehensive screening process'. I would only make this recommendation upon request while also sharing my opinion about the risk versus reward, which I believe is not tipped in the favor of adopting such a solution.
If fever cameras were valid, hospitals, medical units would have been asking for this technology for years.
Until real data that is Scientifically backed by real Science medical community brought to the table....looking at temperatures via camera is a F**cking joke.
I stopped drinking the koolaid, so should you. Stop supporting people sitting within a thermal view world. Silly.
Improve and prove the technology first, use Science please(no brainer on that). Do not just randomly buy products that have BS overlays, widgets and in the final outcome...DO NOT MEDICALLY SAVE YOU AT ALL. It is total BullSH*T.
FEVER CAMERA by THERMAL ANALYTICS IS total BS, WAKE UP.
I am ashamed at all Engineers being a pawn in the game by taking a technology that is not backed by a shred of scientific medical science AT ALL. Shame on you. YOU!
JUST STOP or bring us REAL DATA Studies post scientific medical proof of concept.
Stop smiling Dinosaurs, I WILL PUNCH YOU, BOOM. Case closed. Keep making videos talking about fevers, absurd!
