DVR Examiner - Recorder Hard Drive Recovery Tested

By: Robert Shih, Published on Dec 13, 2018

Bypassing passwords and long download times on-site, DVR Examiner collects and organizes video evidence directly from a hard drive extracted from embedded recorders with proprietary disk formats. Many major manufacturers do not provide a native tool for managing extracted hard drives. In instances where the make and model of the recorder are not provided, this software also eliminates guesswork. In this review we outline:

  • Testing Summary
  • General Features
  • MSRP Pricing
  • Time Offset Correction
  • Evidence Management Options
  • Preview Playback & Export
  • Minor Interface Scaling Limitation
  • Comparison with a Native Application
