While DMP is one of the largest alarm manufacturing companies, the company has had challenges in moving to the cloud, as IPVM investigated in our report DMP app secretly communicates with Hikvision.
Now, DMP has an opportunity to significantly improve in this area, as it is acquiring the majority ownership of iENSO, an engineering firm that specializes in providing turn-key camera/cloud solutions for incumbent manufacturers such as DMP.
Note: DMP emailed to clarify this purchase was made by 'DMP Ownership' and not 'DMP'. DMP is owned by the Britton family.
