Dahua Asks FCC To Not Revoke Existing Authorizations

By Isabella Cheng, Published Dec 17, 2021, 08:03am EST (Info+)

While last month Dahua declared to its dealers that the Secure Equipment Act ensured that the company's authorizations would not be revoked, this month Dahua met with the FCC and lobbied the Commission to not revoke existing authorizations.

In this report, IPVM examines Dahua's position on why its equipment should not be considered "covered" and the company's reasoning for why the FCC should not revoke existing authorizations, which contradicts its previous position that the FCC had no authority to revoke authorizations.
