New Blank Canvas Camera Calculator Released

Author: John Honovich, Published on Jan 28, 2016

Members have asked for a blank canvas version of our popular Camera Calculator so they can design cameras without using or seeing a map. For example, if a building is not yet constructed, or if they want to do a quick design or if all the cameras are indoors, etc.

Our new 'Canvas' feature adds this.

Now you can choose from a 'canvas' design like this:

Or the traditional map mode like so:

The canvas mode is especially useful if you just want to design one or small handful of cameras without worrying about where they go:

Canvas mode replaces our old 'stick figure' camera view which only allowed for a single camera in a fixed position:

You can switch between map view and canvas view by simply toggling the buttons in the upper left hand side:

Canvas mode works with everything else the calculator offers, from choosing 3000+ camera models to exporting to PDF, Word, power point presentations, etc.

Try out the Canvas Camera Calculator now and let us know what you think.
