I use my cleanings as an opportunity to evaulute the state of the camera and its mounts.  As well as refreshing of the labels.

 

This would be a good source of information that can be presented to the customer as cause for possible upgrade/replacement of the units.

It sounds funny but would not be surprised if there were in 1 to 3 years from now.

Exterior cameras specifically, typically require lift equipment which, whether owned or rented, is billed to the customer.  We bill a slightly higher rate for the bucket trucks due to the increase in liability insurance costs for those pieces. Based on those costs alone, many customers have a difficult time with the value proposition. But we will always execute more than one maintenance task at a location if we are already there working on that unit.  On site-wide cleaning, we recommend they have their Maintenance Dept do it,  and offer a service contract should they decide to have us do it.
