Amazon Distributor Favorability Results

Amazon is not a security distributor, but they often have more stock, better prices, and faster shipping on certain components than many distributors, according to integrators.

According to integrators, it is not always easy to determine the full details of a product or seller on Amazon when purchasing.

Advice to fellow integrators:

My rule is that I only purchase via Amazon direct or Fulfilled by Amazon third party items.  This means that Amazon has it in a warehouse somewhere and accepts liability to ship it timely.  This also means those are Prime qualifying items.

I only purchase from third parties in a pinch and expect the shipping to take 2-3 weeks.
