HID Product Configurator Examined

HID is widely used. However, figuring out all the different configurations of features for a final credential or reader part number can be a real headache, with around 75,000 different configurations available.

HID has created a solution called Product Configurator that they say will "demystify" the whole process.

I tried this yesterday and it worked OK for the most part. Some of the sections are a little confusing but overall makes easy work of creating a credential or figuring out a reader. Good report Dan.

Thanks Shannon! Glad it was helpful. I also thought it was mostly helpful and an improvement over the HTOG, which I'd used many times in my former life as a systems integrator.

Yeah the HTOG is one of those mysterious documents on HID's website that was never there when you needed it but was when you didn't. Their website is like Kansas weather, sun shining and hot one day and a blizzard the next, can't find a document then come back tomorrow and it will be on the exact same page you were the day before.
