Convergint Total Recall CrimeEye Product Profile

Published Jul 11, 2017 15:39 PM

Deploying video surveillance in metropolitan areas often brings challenges, including lack of infrastructure or excessive costs to extend facilities. For the past decade, Total Recall has been promoting their camera system designed to address these challenges, which they claim offers a "best-value solution".

In this report we examine Total Recall's previous "CrimeEye" and new CrimeEye-RD-2 rapid deployment video surveillance units, including how they compare to alternative products and approaches to the problem of deploying video surveillance in these environments.

This is our (iSentry) version of a rapid deployment unit.  The enclosure is 24"X 12"X 10" and we have manufactured a custom mount designed to make installation simple.  We have hundreds of units deployed across the US. MSRP starts at $5,495.00.  We are currently working on a smaller 16"X 10"X 8"more affordable unit.

Steven, what cameras are you using? I ask because Totall Recall evidently uses Axis cameras and their outdoor PTZs are that price or more just for 2 of them, without the rest of the equipment / deployment unit.

Based on the OSD of date and time and camera view name on the cameras in the marketing info, looks like HIK. I will delete or edit this comment if that's wrong.

This image does have Hikvision Smart 4 series cameras.  The cameras are customer specific and yes price would vary based on the camera selected.
