Any Wireless Battery Operated Cameras Compatible With 3rd Party VMS?

Hello all,

I am trying to add a camera in a difficult  location where cabling (data or power) will be an issue.

Did somebody here ever try to use a camera like Arlo/Blink with a VMS like Milestone?

I know you should use those camera base and cloud service, but can it stream dorecdir to the VMS? If not, maybe a different camera?

Thank you in advance

Arlo uses an 'encrypted' RTSP stream, so that wont work.  Not sure about Blink, but I suspect it is the same.

Usually the basic 'no wires' application is a candidate for solar/wifi solutions.  Is that an option here?

WiFi is not an issue, but the power is.

Cannot be solar, as it will be placed in door.

I thought about battery pack, but will perfer using a device that was designed to work with batteries.

The netgear powerflex claims to be onvif conformant. You will need the base station. As with all these cams, you will miss the critical pretrigger events and will be changing batteries all the time. You are way better off figuring out a way to run a cable.
