How Verkada sells has been a point of contention, e.g. see How Verkada Sells Direct Using SHI. We recently found an interesting case where a public school declared that they did not receive competing quotes, involving how Verkada does project/deal registration.
This April, in the Crystal City Council meeting, the city's IT systems administrator discussed the city's transition to the Verkada system and explained how Verkada preferred vendors work: Verkada dictates who the vendor is and won't give such discounts to anyone else. There was a 15% discount mentioned in the video. Here's an excerpt from the transcript:
