Using Corridor Views In Milestone Smart Client?

Alexander,

Good point.  I was excited to use corridor views in our hallways only to become disappointed how they looked in the Milestone Smart Client with other cameras in non-corridor mode.  We abandoned the corridor views.

Is there any way to accommodate corridor views in the Milestone Smart Client?  If not, is there any plans in the future to provide this in any Smart Client view configurations?

Hi Donald,

Can you give an example of what you are looking for?  We do have vote views designed for cameras running in corridor mode but if you have non-corridor cameras in that view they may not look good in the Denve sense that there would bea lot of black sinc space.  Is that what you are referring to?

I know what you mean. Corridor view could be more useful in xprotect if the thumbnail was bigger. But to accommodate that, the view would have to take up two stacked thumbnail spots. (side note: I wish milestone would let us create customized layouts)

Currently, I just tell operators to zoom in on the part of the corridor view that they're interested in. That way, they get the view they're interested, and I get everything recorded.
