Low Cost 4K Camera Shootout - What Should We Include?

We are planning a test of low cost 4K cameras, e.g., fixed lens turrets/domes/bullets <$300. Who should we include?

We are currently looking at:

Is there anyone else we should include? Many manufacturers don't have anything in this range, but we would like to include a few more if possible.

Note: Some people have pointed out the distinction to us between 8MP and 4K, with 4K requiring 30 FPS capability according to standards. For purposes of this test, we mainly use "4K" to mean 3840x2160 or 4096x2160 resolution. FPS is a consideration, but not a disqualifier.

Avycon would be TVT of I'm not mistaken.

How about milesight? I don't know how low cost they are but they've been advertising 4k for quite a while I suspect they're good at it.

Avycon is indeed TVT, yes, but with ADI pushing them, it makes them a bit more interesting.

We can check into Milesight. It looks like they don't have 4K in their fixed lens line, but we'll check it out.

I’ve used Avycon on my last 3 projects , the price point is great for my clients that don’t have a large budget , and so far the overall feature set is pretty good for the money. The ADI push did play a part but I’m not disappointed so far , and they are far harder for a client to shop online especially in comparison to hikvision which was sometimes difficult to convince some customers that grey market items are not with the cost savings. I would really like to see them side by side with some of the brands in this price point !!

Are all of those candidates HiSilicon SoCs?

It would be great to get something Ambarella in as well if possible.

Edit: If one can be found in that price range.

JMO but if you are going to test a Hikvision turret, I think this would be a more widely used model:
DS-2CD2383G0-I

Its lower cost than the one you mentioned so I think it would fit this test better.

Is that model available in North America? I've never seen it here. There's a DS-2CD2385G1-I listed in the latest quick guide but it doesn't appear to be shipping yet.

As far as branded Hik, im not sure to be honest. I can tell you that we used to buy the DS-2CD2385FWD-I model, but we discontinued it and started buying the DS-2CD2383G0-I because it was cheaper and it performed the same. I cant tell any difference.

The 2385FWD-I is the first 4K Turret that came out under the value line and it didnt appear ultra low light to me at all and it wasnt marketed as such when it first came out, unless they added something to it, but if they did that, i figured they would have changed the model number completely.

I'd request the Amcrest line (Dahua OEM).

How about this Geovision model.   We haven't installed any yet but have been looking at them.  $330 cost, but it is a turret style.

Geovision GV-EBD8711

I’ve recently been selling Avycon cameras instead of hikvision for my lower budget customers . I would be very interested in seeing them on the list . As well as some other testing and reviews would be helpful.

TVT or one of their OEMs?

Really surprised by the multiple TVT and Avycon responses here so we will definitely include them.

Vivotek needs to be part of this discussion.

We’ve been including Vivotek in recent shootouts, including fisheye panoramic and 4MP. And we have their FD9391-EHTV for a future shootout of higher end 4K models.

But at a glance, it appears Vivotek doesn’t have anything that meets the low cost criteria, with their models being higher end box and motorized zoom bullets/domes. We’d gladly include them if they did.
