Has anyone used EdgeConnector Access Control software? Their claim to fame is their use of Active Directory as the platform. This would fit the need of a customer we are assisting, but I'm curious if anyone has real-world experience with it?

Mar 06, 2018These days, LDAP and Active Directory integration is not rare with access management. Enterprise platforms generally integrate with it, as do smaller systems like Avigilon ACM.
In terms of 3rd party hardware support, it looks like Edge Connector works with Axis A1001 and HID Edge EVO. Based on this, I'd say Edge Connector is targeted at smaller systems that do not need to connect more than one or two doors per controller. Larger or more door dense systems will likely scale better by supporting HID/Mercury or VertX controllers.
Reviewing the recent access 'favorite' results, Edge Connector is not mentioned by 150+ responses. (We'll be publishing the full results soon.)
