When did FLIR thermals get so cheap? Has anyone used this model?

FLIR Thermal Security Camera For $289 - Retail
Ethan Ace
Aug 31, 2017We have a test of that model, but that's close to half the price it used to be.
The best description of it is to think of it less as a camera and more as a video motion detector. The resolution is super low (80x60), so you'll get very little detail. But motion detection was pretty reliable, ignored a lot of false alarms, and longer range than expected.
This image is from our test, which I believe used the 25° model, so detail would be even lower in the one you linked to (50°).
