VoIP Providers Moving into Security

A new survey article from Telcom magazine [link no longer available] provides advice to VoIP service providers about entering the video surveillance market. Best comment was the recommendation that VoIP providers bundle IP video surveillance with communications infrastructure during the initial design to bloick traditional security vendors. Additionally, th article advocated the use of Video as a Service (they called it Web CCTV). In the article, large-scale telecom integrator Cable & Wireless [link no longer available] reports offering a Video service. No details were provided to judge its value.
