Request for Proposal documents (RFPs) are common and important documents for specifying and bidding video surveillance systems. Video Insight has posted samples of their RFP document in both PDF and DOC versions.

Manufacturers develop RFP documents to empahsize their proprietary advantages, carefully specifying requirements to match their specific features. This is a source of gamemanship, frustration and lock-in.
