3VR hired a new CEO who was previously the VP of Enterprise Sales at Apple. Given Apple's phenomenal reputation, it is certainly a good story. Will it help 3VR? A key symptom of 3VR's challenge is the relative lack of interest in them I see amongst integrators and end users. Lots of integrators and end users ask me questions about VMS/video analytics vendors but almost no one asks about 3VR. Milestone and Genetec are the most common and even companies like Exacq and ipConfigure (with small funding and marketing budgets) are requested or praised. By contrast, 3VR has significant funding (over $30 million) and big names behind it. However, after 7 years, will they be able to turn that into deep interest within the channel and buyers?
