Which Do You Prefer For Perimeter Intrusion Detection: Fiber, Microphonic Cable Or Thermal Camera ?
Several technologies are available for this purpose, I wonder which are most cost effective and provide higher ROI e.g. provide the most accurate response for the investment.
Dont forget my favorite: Beam Break.
We are using Thermal right now at a few sites and are having trouble with the cross line detection analytic creating false alarms. This is due to pole mounted cameras swaying in the wind. We are considering changing to a differnet analytic in hopes of decreasing the false alarms.
Consider using an AND system. In other words, mix of fiber and cameras or sensors and cameras.
Will do Brice. We tried to get in on the cheap but are finding and AND configuration like you recommend or a more expensive analytic are going to be required.
